About Us

The Officer and Civilian Spouses' Club at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is a non-profit Social Service Organization. OCSC members consist of active duty, retired, widowed, and civilian employee spouses. OCSC promotes social, cultural, recreational, and off-base activities among the members to raise money for scholarships and charitable funds throughout Wayne County, NC. We raise an average of $15,000 in scholarships each year and several thousands of dollars for outreach purposes - an impressive amount for such a small, but growing organization.


OCSC raises the majority of our charitable funds through the Thrift Shop here at Seymour Johnson AFB. The Thrift Shop is a joint venture managed by OCSC and operated by our sister non-profit the Enlisted Spouses Club (ESC). The Thrift Shop only accepts donations and consignments approved by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission which provides that items sold are safe and of a certain quality.


OCSC can receive monetary gifts from private individuals, foundations, local businesses or participants. Funds are deposited into our Charitable Account and will help fund our charities and scholarships for Wayne County, Seymour Johnson AFB-affiliated students of higher education and high school seniors. Administrative proceeds cover operating costs and monthly events.  Local businesses and vendors are welcome to become an Event Contributor or hold a service project.
