the majority of our charitable funds through the Thrift Shop here at
Seymour Johnson AFB. The Thrift Shop is a joint venture managed by OCSC
and operated by our sister non-profit the Enlisted Spouses Club (ESC).
The Thrift Shop only accepts donations and consignments approved by the
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission which provides that items sold
are safe and of a certain quality.
OCSC can receive monetary
gifts from private individuals, foundations, local businesses or
participants. Funds are deposited into our
Charitable Account and will help fund our charities and scholarships
for Wayne County, Seymour Johnson AFB-affiliated students of higher
education and high school seniors. Administrative proceeds cover
operating costs and monthly events. Local businesses and vendors are
welcome to become an Event Contributor or hold a service project.
